About the Team

DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager with product sense to lead teams within Growth in San Francisco or Seattle. This team is responsible for handling a number of initiatives that will fuel DoorDashs’s growth in the coming years and beyond. These teams consist of Engineers from Backend, Frontend, Mobile and ML backgrounds and partner with a number of cross functional orgs throughout DoorDash. The Growth team is responsible for the products that help us acquire millions of new DoorDash customers every quarter and drive millions of incremental orders every month. 

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager with expertise in both MarTech and SEO to drive our global marketing strategies and scale our organic growth efforts. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Content, Acquisition, Brand, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering—to optimize customer experiences and maximize visibility in organic search. In this role, you will develop and execute strategic roadmaps, both for marketing technologies and organic search initiatives, to attract users, drive top-of-funnel metrics, and enhance marketing efficiency. You will also support the scaling of technology infrastructure and SEO efforts, ensuring seamless integration of tools and strategies to unlock growth channels and improve overall performance. We’re excited about you because…

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with working with non-technical stakeholders, cross-team collaboration, and building scalable products in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to collect non-technical requirements to design and build scalable experience solutions.
  • Ability to guide and grow an excellent engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
