About the Team

The New Verticals team exists within the Merchant Services org and is dedicated to the build and maintenance of Merchant Catalogs. More specifically, we create and update catalogs for Merchants to sell to customers on our platform. Our team receives bulk inventory data from Merchants and translates that information into high-quality data, to make items as shoppable as they are in store.
Launch specialists know all things catalog and help to enrich our workflows by identifying process gaps and opportunities to build and implement new tooling or train our vendors to increase quality and efficiency. We also provide backend support for our Merchants and the core Catalog teams. We work primarily within Google Sheets, MODE Analytics, JIRA, and Salesforce.

About the Role

As an Associate Supervisor within Merchant Services, you will support the SMB Launch Supervisor in overseeing a large team whose goal is creating and building the inventory available on the DoorDash platform; increasing the quality, and improving overall merchant experience.
With a strong preference for prior experience in leadership or people management, this role will help oversee specialists on our team and provide individual coaching. You should be comfortable resolving complex challenges and working within ambiguity; and capable of supporting the team in adapting to dynamic priorities and processes.
We expect this role to be Hybrid with some required in-office days as well as opportunities to visit the office for on-site activities and All-Hands events and to collaborate on yearly planning.

  • Help oversee a large team of specialists and manage performance & daily admin tasks  
  • Support your team by being present and approachable, answering questions, hosting 1-on-1s and team meetings, and providing real-time feedback and collaboration on project rollouts.
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert in the complex world of catalog by diving into discoveries in ambiguous workflows to develop understanding, and partner with your team as well as external stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot & review escalations regarding catalog build and merchant onboarding.
