About the Team
The Finance Engineering team is a platform and data applications team with a mission to build the source of truth for complete, accurate and timely financial data systems for DoorDash. It’s a foundational team that sits at the intersection of many other teams, serving our three-sided marketplace (Consumers, Merchants, Dashers).
Financial Insights is a key vertical in Finance Engineering aiming to solve reporting, dashboarding, tracing, and reconciliation, as well as other applications and tools built on the financial data platform. This high visibility team is building products that immediately impact DoorDash’s accounting and financial reporting needs, with a vision to simplify the querying and visualization of our financial data for internal and external use cases.
About the Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee a talented group of engineers, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and accounting partners. Your primary responsibility will be driving the successful execution of our product roadmap, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet both customer needs and business objectives. You will be key in fostering a collaborative and cross-functional work environment and promoting effective communication and synergy amongst team members. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can balance technical excellence with business priorities.

We're excited about you because you have…
- BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, & mobile) of 5+ engineers
- 7+ years of industry experience
- Experience working with remote teams in different time zone(s) and fluency in English
- Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment
- Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
- Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition
- Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
