About the Team
We are building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform. New Verticals is a key investment to accelerate our growth in non-restaurants services like grocery, convenience, alcohol, cross-platform ordering, and many more new bets to come! This team works to understand how we can optimize the shopping experience for our merchants, consumers and dashers.
About the Role
You will be shaping the future DoorDash’s catalog & selection strategy in convenience, grocery and alcohol, while leading some of the most strategic initiatives to achieve catalog excellence.
Your work will be highly visible and impactful - with the entire DoorDash convenience grocery and alcohol catalog in scope, you will have the opportunity to impact millions of items on DoorDash platform, and make visible impact on customer experience in partnership with Engineering, DSML and product teams
You will be partnering with teams across DoorDash and beyond to build a world-class catalog system that works for all 3 sides of the marketplace : Merchants, Dashers and Customers. Your work will enable merchants to onboard quickly, customers to make informed buying decisions with rich merchandising, and Dashers to know exactly what to shop, and where.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Lead. You will create systems and process frameworks to improve the speed, quality and onboarding time for merchants.You’ll partner with local operators to develop processes to set-up their catalogs on the DoorDash platform
- Build. You will own and build a massive high quality product catalog with perfect information (i.e.- pictures, description, name, taxonomy), high quality scores and operational checks and controls.
- Strategize. You will help develop the optimal strategy for convenience and grocery operations. You will craft quarterly and annual plans that push our business forward and are aligned with our product capabilities. You will help these teams identify opportunities for enhancing our existing product offering and methods to improve delivery quality.
- Collaborate. You will advocate internally for solutions that will enhance the user experience. Where a product or operations solution is needed in order to unlock volume, you will advocate for those resources with your central partners. You’ll work with a highly cross-functional team, including operations, product, finance, and quality to build out new lines of business for DoorDash.
- Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data
- Support. You will help teach and support teams in getting their lines of business setup and scaled quickly.
- Learn. You will be immersed in our US Convenience and Grocery operations. You will learn about our product and in-store operations, product roadmaps, as well as our current and future capabilities.

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
