About the Team
We believe the only way to predict the future is to build it. Creating solutions to lead our company and our industry is what we do -- on every project, every day. We're not afraid to dig in and uncover the truth, even if it's scary or inconvenient. Everyone here is learning on the job, no matter if we've been in a role for one year or one minute. This is specifically true in Fraud Operations, where we are constantly looking for ways to minimize and prevent fraudulent activity on the platform. Through continuous improvement and operational excellence, our Fraud Strategy and Operations team protects both the business and our customers from bad actors.
About the Role
The Fraud team is looking for a Risk & Fraud Specialist to reduce the cost of fraud and identify new vectors of abuse across the DoorDash Platform. You will grow familiar with our three audiences — Consumers, Dashers and Merchants, and become a point person for understanding user behavior that suggests fraud. You will investigate cases of fraud and brainstorm solutions to reduce fraud in the long-term. Most importantly, you will help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while mitigating fraudulent use. You will report to the Fraud Operations Manager or Supervisor.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Conduct in-depth case reviews to promote safe and compliant trading on the site
- Navigate appeals through multiple channels for actions taken across assigned work types
- Discover and identify fraud trends and present opportunities for stronger results and regulation
- Handle escalations per request of leadership
We’re excited about you because…
- 3+ years of call center or customer service related experience.
- Experience managing multiple, concurrent work streams, with an emphasis for details
- Adept technical ability. You are comfortable navigating multiple screens, using multiple systems, and creating your own shortcuts
- Prior use of data analysis, in an operations setting
- Experience working in a fraud / risk department or similar
